Simulation Technology Helps Control, Manage Traffic
With the ever-increasing number of cars on the roads, managing traffic is a complex and costly operation in all developed countries. Scientists and students at University of Maryland’s Center for Advanced Transportation Technology, CATT for short, are using visualization, gaming and simulation technologies to help authorities and private businesses manage and respond to constantly changing traffic conditions.
