The World Health Organization has declared the Pakistani city, the largest reservoir of polio virus. Authorities fear that the Pakistanis could face travel restrictions unless immediate steps are taken to stop the spread of the disease.
There have been studies about the consequences of the virus in people and found that almost never the case may be genetically related to the polio virus. Polio mainly affects children under five years of age. The virus is based through food or water. The virus replicates in the body, and later invades the nervous system. The disease can lead to loss of muscle control in the parts of the body.
However, the government should implement urgent measures to help improve the health of their citizens.
