1. What do we call a person who fights fires? - The person calls a firefighter. 2. What's the name of the place where this person lives and works? - The name of the place is a fire station, but firefighters calls it a firehouse. 3. What are some things you can do to prepare for a fire? - First, we need to install a fire alarm, test it monthly, and make sure the batteries are fully charged. Second, everyone should know how to use a fire extinguisher. Have one handy and practice using it. Third, we should have an evacuation plan, and practice getting out safely with fire drills. 4. What do we call practicing safely leaving a building? - fire drills ?? 5. If you smell smoke, what should you do? - If you smell smoke, call the fire department! If you smell smoke, get out of the building. 6. If you see a fire, what are some things you might say? - Call the fire department! Get out of the building! We have a fire emergency! Leave your things and evacuate calmly and quickly. 7. If your clothes catch on fire, what do you do? - If my clothes catch on fire, I must stop, drop and roll. I shouldn't run. If I run, the fire will burn faster.

Dear Daho, Thanks for writing to us. I suggest studying with a friend. You can either get together in person or call each other regularly to practice speaking English. Some of those who use our online courses meet in a group, for example at a local library, to watch the videos and practice the conversations. Or if there is a family member who is also learning English, you can set aside a time regularly to work together on these lessons. I carry a notebook with me and a book for the language I am studying and when I have a few minutes on a train or a bus, I take it out and write sentences or try reading what I have written before. I wish you luck in studying and learning English!
