That is a good question! Americans generally swallow the letter "t" when it is in the middle of words. In linguistics, this is called t-glottalization. It is extremely uncommon to fully aspirate the "t" in the middle of English words. You would not hear it in a real conversation between native speakers of American English or most other Englishes.
