There is one thing which needs to be changed. Look at the paragraph "A recent story in the Washington Post newspaper said the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, known as MIT, had 66 percent more applicants in 2021 than it did in 2020. The University of California at Los Angeles, UCLA, received 28 percent more." I can see the same external link has been repeated. Both "story in the" and "Washington Post" are linking to https://www.washingtonpost.com/education/2021/04/05/college-admissions-2021-test-optional/. Instead, there should be just one link from "story in the Washington Post" as a whole.

In my view, a test-optional policy is good but, as the lesson above showed, I think it takes time to be widely satisfied and applying by most of the students. What I am thinking is, colleges ought to consider reducing the lack of efficiency of this policy for all students enrollments; for instance, the students with higher scores still be more selected. Thank you.
