  "the closest thing I have is my pet rock",what does it mean by "rock"in this sentence? Anyone who can help me? Thank you!

    A rock is a stone. Anna has put eyes and hair on a small stone and says it is her pet.
    Many years ago, there was a fad in the US where people sold such "pet rocks."
