I am studying at Tra Vinh University and majoring in English. Therefore, I often listen to audios of VOA. I have just heard about a man in Brazil who is very shy and cannot find friends. Similarly, I am very sensitive and shy. Also, I cannot integrate into other friends' jokes.

My family can't understand me. They don't want me to study because my family is very poor. They often grumble and scold me about my expenditure at university. Now, I feel vey lonely, sad and worried about my future.

How can I live and study without anyone who can share with me my sadness. I really need a piece of advice from VOA, my friend.

when I read your worrisome story , I felt myself very bad.education is very valuable in our life's but your family doesn't realize that.Please don't be sad, try to be happy.If you are happy, you will be successfull in the future .Only do study harder although everything.never give up your decision and listen to your heart's voice.you aren't lonely all we are here for you.your sincerely

i am deeply sorry to hear your issue.I make sure that you are too sad and embarrassed to solve it well.There is need for you to make your best efforts more to study as well as live better,you will be soon successful one day,and surely your family is not deprived any more,your parents also lead a well-off life...BE STRONG-WILLED TO OVERCOME THE DIFFICULTIES YOU HAVE!!! YOU WILL REACH YOUR FUTURE PERFECTLY!! DONT GIVE UP TOO EASILY !

i am very sorry to read your story but as you know we have a equalition story . and i have idea if you want " maybe you can work ,so you can get money to pay your studying .like me . in the morning i am working and in the night i am studying at university.so i never troubled my parents and they proud to have daughter like me.maybe if you work and get money with yourself , your parents will support you .

Really the shyness is very complicated and negative in personal or professional life, but you can work and improving it with social activities. For us who have a poor family the things are more difficult . So we have to do some thing more to reach our goals. Therefore, don't hesitate continue your dream to a better life. Don't forget never,that the family is our support even with economic problems and different values they are always with us. I believe that you can have a part time job to help with family budget. I think you are suffering from mental problem. You should talk with your close person, you could find a teacher to help you. You ought to go out of this situation, don't just involved in sadness. You should believe in yourself. You must improve your study, if your score is nice, people will respect you.

First, You should not stop studying. You had better to do part time job. You study very hard, so you must get scholarship. Also, why don't you do presentation about your studying? Ifyou can tell your parents your ambition,they might understand your situation.
And, about relationship with your friends, you could gets better day by day. You may try to belong to club activity to communicate with your friends!

Also, you had better not be so shy and sensitive that maybe makes you very sad and insulated from the people. In addition, you should talk with your friends and ask them to talk with your family about your problem.

Families don't understand children that is natural, just talk with them. i have some experiences like you, but if I don't agree with my parents I talk with them, tell them what I think and what I want to do, they will understand.
