Forgotten History of Chinese Laborers in California Wine Country
The California Gold Rush brought a lot of people to the American west coast. They included people from China. After the Gold Rush, many stayed and worked as unskilled labor, including in construction of the railroads. Some helped lay the foundation for the famous California wine industry.
