Ronald Wilson Reagan, America's fortieth president, died Saturday at his home in California at the age of ninety-three.
During his two terms, Mister Reagan led a revolution in conservative politics in the United States. He also helped speed the end of the Soviet Union. The president known as the "Great Communicator" served in office from nineteen-eighty-one to nineteen-eighty-nine.
Mister Reagan was highly honored among Republicans, but left public life ten years ago because of Alzheimer's disease.
