Hi I’m Negar with VOA60 Elections. Texas holds its Republican primary today, and the Washington Post reports that “With Tuesday’s primary, Mitt Romney is poised to secure the 1,144 delegates required to clinch the Republican presidential nomination at the party’s August convention.” Meanwhile, many Wall Street financiers who backed President Obama in 2008 won’t do it again. CNN Money writes that “Wall Street ditches Obama." Financiers have abandoned Obama and are flocking to Romney in droves. Monday was Memorial Day in the United States, a day to honor those who served the nation. Yahoo News quotes President Obama as saying “troops are coming home after a decade of war and must be respected,” and Huffington Post writes that in a speech in San Diego, Romney said the nation must have the strongest military because the world is not a safe place. That’s all for today. See you for the next edition of VOA60 Elections.
