Filipino Fishermen Turn to Fiberglass Boats
When Typhoon Haiyan devastated Philippines’ Leyte Island one year ago, many local fishermen lost their wooden boats. The World Wildlife Fund is now helping them overcome their dependence on wood as a boatbuilding material and learn to use more durable glass reinforced plastic.George Putic has more.
