Washington Low-income Homes Going Solar
Washington, D.C, is getting closer to the sun – but not in the way you might think. Solar panels on rooftops are gaining popularity in the U.S. capital - and not just among the wealthy. This new technology is also finding its way to less-fortunate neighborhoods and better yet, it’s free. VOA’s Roman Mamonov went to a few homes where solar power is lighting up the neighborhood. Joy Wagner narrates.
