The Boston Globe  reports Republican Mitt Romney has pledged that if elected president he will bring unemployment down to 6 percent. Current unemployment in America is 8.1 percent. CNN points out that  Romney has used the unemployment rate as a main line of attack against Obama. MSNBC says that George W. Bush’s former secretary of state, Colin Powell, has criticized Mitt Romney’s foreign policy advisers. “C’mon Mitt, think,” Powell said of Romney’s recent statement that Russia is “the No. 1 geo-political foe.” Powell endorsed Barack Obama in 2008. At the same time, ABC News writes headline: “In Memoriam: The Old Obama, Who Wanted to bring people together.” “The cause of death appeared to be a bitter realization that he needed to win reelection in an increasingly partisan political environment, a cancer that he had been battling for months if not years,” says ABC News. That’s all for today. See you next time.
